Ever since he became a free agent, team after team have been courting the young athlete, many making crazy expensive offers in order to bring James over to their side, but the choice was ultimately LeBron's — and he settled on the Heat. But the entire process has drawn so much media attention beyond the usual sports outlets that it got us thinking about the inevitable: when Hollywood does in fact decide to make a movie about LeBron James, who will they cast to play him?

Anthony Mackie
After Mackie's performance in the critically acclaimed and multiple-Academy Award winning "The Hurt Locker," this young actor definitely proved he's primed and ready to get off the bench and play the metaphorical acting court. Not only that, but he also starred in the dance-off/basketball-playing film "Crossover," in which I'm pretty sure he dunked a ball while jumping a motorcycle. Your move, LeBron.

Common
Rapper turned actor Common broke onto the big screen with his role in "Smokin' Aces." From there, the surprisingly good actor went on to star in major blockbuster films, including "American Gangster," "Wanted" and "Terminator Salvation." His recent ventures "Date Night" and "Just Wright" allowed him to expand into the comedy scene and the latter even featured him as a highly successful basketball player. With his experience and diversity of roles, casting him just seems like Common sense. Get it?

Chiwetel Ejiofor
In this blogger's opinion, a highly underrated but phenomenal actor, Chiwetel played countless roles from across all genres and played them all supremely well. I loved him in "Love, Actually," but honestly I loved everyone in that movie. However, after his portrayal of the Operative in the Joss Whedon-directed "Serenity," he pretty much cemented his place as deserving any role that comes his way. If he can go toe-to-toe with Nathan Fillion, he can definitely play ball as LeBron. After all, being a mercenary and being a baller are kind of similar, right?

Quinton "Rampage" Jackson
In one of the biggest surprise of the summer movie season thus far, "The A-Team" audiences learned that just because you spent most of your career beating the ever living crap out of people doesn't mean you aren't a great actor. Although Jackson's experience points in acting aren't as high as the previous people on this list, if he wanted the role, he'd probably get it — even if he had to knock out everyone else in line waiting to audition!

Isaiah Mustafa
Do me a favor. Google "The Man Your Man Could Smell Like" and watch the video. I'll wait. Now tell me that Isaiah Mustafa shouldn't star in pretty much everything everywhere. His plays on the court would be legendary! "Look at the ball. Now at me. Now back at the ball. Now back to me. The ball is now in my hand. Look at the net. Back to me. I have just scored three points. Anything is possible when you're LeBron James."

Yesterday, I saw a lot of people calling for Jamie Foxx's Oscar to be revoked following the announcement that he and Martin Lawrence are confirmed for "Sheneneh and Wanda," a comedy in which the duo will play female bank robbers. Both roles are based on earlier cross-dressed characters from the actors' TV days (Lawrence's Sheneneh is from "Martin" and Foxx's Wanda is from "In Living Color"). Foxx, who won the Academy Award for Best Actor in 2004 for "Ray" (he was also nominated for Best Supporting Actor that same year for "Collateral), returning to this drag shtick seems like a huge step backward to a lot of people.

"Seems" is the key word here, though, because it doesn't have to be a regression. Plenty of Oscar-caliber actors have cross-dressed before and since being nominated and/or winning an Academy Award, and plenty of performers have won for dressing like the opposite sex. Dustin Hoffman

On his fourth nomination for Best Actor, Dustin Hoffman won the Oscar for playing a single father in "Kramer vs. Kramer." His very next film? "Tootsie," in which he's a struggling actor who masquerades as an actress to land a role on a soap opera. His new persona ultimately, and ironically, inspires a minor feminist movement. Not only was the Academy not disappointed with Hoffman's choice of a "Kramer" follow-up, they nominated him again for the "Tootsie" role.

Cate Blanchett

A Best Supporting Actress winner for "The Aviator" three years prior, Cate Blanchett dressed in masculine clothing to play one of six characters based on Bob Dylan for the 2007 experimental biopic "I'm Not There." Basically she's playing a man rather than a cross-dresser, which aligned her with Oscar-winner Linda Hunt, who won in 1984 for playing the opposite sex in "The Year of Living Dangerously." Similarly, for "Sheneneh and Wanda," Foxx and Lawrence will be portraying women instead of men dressed as women.

Gwyneth Paltrow

Considering that William Shakespeare is associated with cross-dressing roles as much as he is with top-notch acting, it's no surprise that Oscar-caliber actresses have gone drag for the Bard. Oscar-winner-to-be Peggy Ashcroft did it as Viola in a 1939 BBC production of "Twelfth Night," while Helen Hunt directly followed her Best Actress win to play the same cross-dressing role in a 1998 stage production, which was aired on PBS. The same year as Hunt's portrayal of Viola, Gwyneth Paltrow played a similar character (also named Viola) in "Shakespeare in Love," and she won the Oscar for the performance.

Michael Caine

Michael Caine had not yet won an Oscar when he (SPOILER ALERT) played a cross-dressing killer in Brian De Palma's 1980 thriller "Dressed to Kill." But he had already received two nominations and it would only be four more years until his first Supporting Actor win, with "Hannah and Her Sisters." Caine was actually nominated for a Razzie, partly for "Dressed to Kill," which goes to show that the Academy overlooks bad performances in the careers of its honorees. Or that the Razzies have a misplaced sense of judgment.

Tom Hanks

Long before he won his first Best Actor Oscar, Tom Hanks starred in the sitcom "Bosom Buddies," in which he and Peter Scolari disguised themselves as women in order to live in a ladies-only apartment building. Not that it would ever happen, but if Hanks decided to revisit the role and series for a feature film, it's unlikely he would receive the same level of disapproval that Foxx has garnered. There'd still be some criticism of the idea, but nobody would call for the Academy to take away Hanks' Oscars. Then again, is anyone really serious in crying that Foxx's own win should be revoked?

As if that's not enough, "Twilight" stars Kellan Lutz and Nikki Reed will be on hand to kick off the show, stationed at one of the most notorious haunted houses in the country. We've served up quite a bit of "Little Fockers" coverage so far. All the way back to the earliest rumblings that "The State" veteran David Wain might direct. Those plans ended up changing, with Paul Weitz (brother of "New Moon" director Chris Weitz) now at the helm. Laura Dern and Jessica Alba have also both since joined the cast.

"Little Fockers" is happening though, and the shoot is underway now. Not only does this mean that the movie is on track for its previously announced June 30, 2010 release date, it also means we can look forward to many more set pics. Last night, Charlize kissed a girl. A woman really, from the look of things. Hard to tell with their faces smashed together like that, isn't it? The kiss -- and the $140,000 that paid for it -- was part of a charity event supporting OneXOne, an organization committed to helping children in developing regions. You may remember OneXOne from the recent "Entourage" season finale, in which Matt Damon, as himself, hassled movie star Vinnie Chase (Adrian Grenier) to get involved.

Theron was initially on stage to auction off a trip to Africa, complete with a Nelson Mandela meet-and-greet, Us Magazine reports. The bidding topped out at $37,000, so the the actress sweetened the deal by offering up a 7-second kiss to a man for $130,000.
