My takeaway is that you readers are on the younger side -- ie below 30, or at least not yet parents -- and that you prefer spectacle to schmaltz. That's definitely an overly broad generalization, but I do find the fact the weekend's biggest earner, by quite a wide margin I might add, didn't even pick up one vote in last week's poll. Now, let's take a look at what's in store this week...

The quartet of big-ticket wide releases cater to a variety of different tastes. My first-choice pick is definitely "Jennifer's Body," the Karyn Kusama-directed, Diablo Cody-penned, Megan Fox/Amanda Seyfried-starring horror comedy. The story follows a high school cheerleader (Fox) who starts preying on the souls of her male classmates after a demon possesses her. If our exclusive clip is any indication, this is going to be a fun one.

My second-choice weekend pick is Steven Soderbergh's "The Informant!," starring Matt Damon as real-life corporate whistleblower Mark Whitacre. Soderbergh and Damon have proven to be an excellent team in the three "Ocean's" movies, and the strong supporting cast -- including Scott Bakula, Joel McHale and Melanie Lynskey -- completes the package. Plus, there's a lot of positive buzz coming out of Toronto. See it and thank me later.

For people seeking more family-friendly fare, there's always the big screen CGI animated adaptation of "Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs," which is getting both a standard theatrical release and a full-blown "IMAX Experience" treatment. It's not really the sort of thing I would typically run out to see, but I've actually heard some great things from colleagues who have checked out recent screenings.

Rounding out the big-ticket wide releases is a little something for the ladies and lovers: the Aaron Eckhart/Jennifer Aniston-starring rom-dram, "Love Happens." Eckhart stars as a renowned self-help therapist who can't seem to follow his own counsel. Aniston plays a floral business owner whose own baggage has led her to give up on men completely, in favor of her career. The two meet randomly and there's an instant attraction. Strife and, presumably, reconciliation ensues.

There are even some compelling options among the limited releases. Director Jane Campion's "Bright Star," focusing on poet John Keats' final years and the love affair filling that time, offers some gorgeous period drama action. There's also "The Burning Plain," from "Babel" director Guillermo Arriaga, starring Charlize Theron, Kim Basinger and Joaquim de Almeida. Finally we have "Paris," a French rom-com import starring Juliette Binoche. What will you sink your time in with this weekend?

In case you've somehow missed it -- a difficult thing to do, given all the... ummm... exposure "Transformers" star Megan Fox has brought along -- the Diablo Cody-penned teen horror flick is all about a possessed cheerleader (Fox) who preys on the souls of her male classmates while her bookish friend (Amanda Seyfried) tries to put an end to the madness. In the below interview clip, a preview of Friday's "Behind the Screen," Fox discusses a subject that I imagine most of you male readers might be interested in: kissing other women.

"I feel much safer with girls, so I felt more comfortable kissing [Seyfried] in ["Jennifer's Body"] than kissing any of the other people that I had to kiss," she told MTV News. The same wasn't true for Seyfried, who was "extremely uncomfortable" and prone to "giggling fits" between takes.

Here we have the latest red-band trailer for “Jennifer’s Body,” via a ShockTillYouDrop exclusive. There’s plenty of violence and suggestive undressing, along with Jennifer’s bestie Needy Lesnicky (Amanda Seyfried) trying to pull her friend back from the dark side. The premise may not have the instant appeal of “giant robots destroy everything,” but presuming Oscar-winner Diablo Cody’s script drips with the same sort of clever wordplay that made “Juno” so fantastic, “Jennifer’s Body” will definitely be one to watch.

“I just did ADR on it,” Fox said of the late-stage voiceover work that that marked the end of her role in the film as it enters post-production for a September release. “There’s this scene in a kitchen. I can’t reveal too much — but it’s the first time you see me cross over from human to whatever this weird thing is that I’ve become. I actually truly frightened myself — which I’m excited about.”

The flick features Fox, Amanda Seyfried, Adam Brody and others in the slickly written, tongue-in-cheek sophomore effort from Cody. It follows a possessed cheerleader who begins using her sensuality to lure –- and kill — her male classmates.

“I’m a man-eater. I eat boys,” the “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” star said, grinning. “I’m sort of a zombie, but not really. I get improperly sacrificed [and it possesses me]… my character is a frighteningly vapid high school girl who’s captain of her flag team.”

“She gets improperly sacrificed by Adam Brody’s band, who have sold their souls to Satan in order to get a record deal,” Fox laughed. “And what happens when you improperly sacrifice someone is the victim gets taken over by a demon. They thought I was a virgin — and I was not a virgin.”

“So, I get taken over by a demon,” Fox continued. “And in order to maintain the state of the undead, I have to feast on human flesh. And so, I start eating boys.”

As anyone who’s seen “Juno” will remember, Cody’s style is as highly stylized as it is intricately hip. And so, Fox said that all the actors on set were careful to keep their improv tendencies to a bare minimum.

“That was actually something that was hard about making that movie,” Fox revealed. “Because it was Diablo — and because she just won an Oscar — we were not allowed to deviate from the script. Not even a single word.”

In this day and age of Judd Apatow, Christopher Guest and other ad-lib-loving filmmakers, such script fidelity has become rare. “It was really hard coming off of ‘Transformers,’ because everything is improvised — we don’t stick to the script almost at all,” Fox said of Michael Bay’s giant robot films. “So that was difficult. [Cody] definitely has a very specific way of speaking and of writing. But I feel like I tackled it okay.”
