On Sunday night at the Video Music Awards, nearly three months after Michael Jackson passed away, MTV will unveil the first ever trailer from "This Is It," the behind-the-scenes look at the King of Pop's final days as he prepared for a series of comeback concerts in London.
The footage is truly amazing, filled with the fallen icon's classic tunes and eye-opening insight into his creative process. It's such remarkable stuff that we wanted to give you a sneak peek a day before the main event, which is why we've posted some snippets of the footage online.
In the teaser clip, you get an advance look at Jackson and his backup dancers in full "Thriller" costume, practicing a dance that will be familiar to any fan of the timeless music video. You'll see him busting familiar moves and generally bringing an all-business intensity to his performances. And then there are the costumes: Jackson in sunglasses and a bright-blue dress shirt, Jackson wearing sparkly gold pants and a silver jacket as he rocks out alongside a guitarist, Jackson in an all-white suit, Jackson in a blood-red shirt when he slides across the stage on his knees.
"This Is It" won't come out in theaters until October 28, but hit play on this video to check out the King of Pop in action. And be sure to tune in on Sunday at 9 p.m. ET to watch the full trailer.
